How to add Grammarly to Microsoft Word and Outlook?

Install Grammarly for Windows or Grammarly for Mac and then follow these steps to add it to Microsoft Office apps:

Install Grammarly on Windows

Grammarly is available for download at https://www.grammarly.com/desktop/windows.

To finish the installation, double-click the downloaded file and follow the prompts.

Open Microsoft Word or Outlook after the application has been installed and begin typing. A floating Grammarly widget should appear.

Grammarly is available for download at https://www.grammarly.com/desktop/mac/.

To finish the installation, double-click the downloaded file and follow the prompts.

Open Microsoft Word or Outlook after the application has been installed and begin typing. 

A floating Grammarly widget should appear.

Please note that if you previously used Grammarly for Microsoft Office, it will no longer be updated. Instead, we recommend using Grammarly for Windows and Mac, which you can get by following the steps above.


How to drag and drop Word docs into the Grammarly desktop app for Mac

#Step 1: Click "Download Grammarly for Mac" on the Grammarly website.

#Step 2: At the bottom of your browser window, click the Grammarly download link.
An application window will display once it has been loaded.

#Step 3: Drag the Grammarly symbol to the right of the folder, on top of it.

#Step 4: Exit the window and go to the dock, where you'll find the Finder icon.




#Step 5: Locate the Grammarly programme on your Applications menu.

#Step 6: Drag the app icon into the dock by clicking and dragging it.

#Step 7: Download the Word document you want to edit in Grammarly or go to the file location of the Word document you want to edit in Grammarly. Drag the file from its folder to the Grammarly icon and drop it there.
